We haved learned that John Tapia passed away. We have lost yet another brother. I remember as a young PFC coming to the company being in awe of him. He always scared me as a young man, but he was a great guy. He will be greatly missed at our reunions, but we all know that he will be there with us in Spirit.

I received a card from Lee and she said to tell you all thanks for the flowers. She said that she was making it day by day, but misses John so much.

Ronnie I. contacted me with two Web Sites. One was Military .com and the other was Hadit.com. Both are very informative, but I found Hadit.com to be really informative for those of you who are seeking VA benefits.

Here is some information for those of you who may be filing a claim with VA. Remember they are not your friends. Stand tall and always tell the truth. They will lie too you, but don't ever lie to them, because if they catch you it is over. One of the places that treated us in Vietnam was Co C CLR STA, 1st Med Bn, APO 96345, Lai Khe Base Camp. If any of you other guys have places to add contact the Webmaster. We are going to develop a page for this type of information.

While interviewing an anonymous US Special Forces soldier on his sniper skills, a Reuters News agent asked the soldier what he felt when shooting members of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

The soldier shrugged and replied, "Recoil."

I have been asked if we could add a page to list all of the badges that we could have earned as LRRP's and Rangers and their qualifications for each. I can do it, but I will need your help. So if anyone has those qualifications please send them to me. I think this is a good idea, because after all this wasn't a Sunday School trip and the world needs to know what we did. I am already working on the graphics for these pages.

Also it has been suggested that we have a page honoring those who have gone on after Vietnam. Your help will also be needed for this project.
